Нормально открывает все демонстрационные файлы.
А вот что сканировано в линуксе (форматы все перепробовал)
Открывает как чёрный квадрат, но распознавание идёт.

DirectClass	Image is composed of pixels which represent literal color values.
PseudoClass	Image is composed of pixels which specify an index in a color 
palette.
